Batman Dark Detective #6 - Marshall Rogers art & cover

Marshall Rogers
Batman Dark Detective v1 #6, 2005The police converge on the Joker's remote Victorian hideout, just as the Batman arrives to rescue the captive Silver St. Cloud. Marshall Rogers' cover is adequate, but overshadowed by the torture/bondage/lingerie theme (an homage perhaps to 1940s-50s pulp magazine covers). His story artwork fares better, depicting scenes within the Joker's house of horrors. The layouts are more inventive and engaging than previous issues. While Rogers' drawings are diminished, his panel sequences are carefully and purposefully designed. This is 6 of 6 Batman Dark Detective issues by Rogers.
